Let me introduce myself, my name is Maria Robinson, I have lived in the relaxed and friendly town of Hokitika since the age of 12. After completing my schooling at Westland High School, my passion for people, art and fashion led to a successful and exciting career in the beauty industry. At the age of 18 years old I began my career as a Colour Consultant, so I could teach others the amazing power that colour has on the way you both look and feel. Following that I went onto train as a Beauty therapist at the National School of Aesthetics where I gained both National and International qualifications and earned 'Top Student'. On returning to the Coast I set up  Maria's Beauty Therapy Clinic in Hokitika. I thrive on working one on one with my clients and cherish the trust and friendships my business has created.

For the past 9 years I have juggled work commitments and bringing up three young children. I now work part time with the fantastic team at the new Body Worx Fitness Centre in Hokitika. Even though Body Worx is the base for my Beauty Therapy business I am happy to come to you in the comfort of your own home or hold Style Workshops or Consultations afterhours, on weekends at the gym. I am also happy to be involved in fundraisers and speaking engagments to smaller groups or consultation anywhere on the Westcoast.

My love of people, and desire to see people 'be the very best they can be' saw a need to learn new skills and extend my services to my clients. I relished the opportunity to become the Westcoast 'Unique Style' Personal Stylist. 'Unique Style's' philosphy of vlauing yourself and your uniqueness is paramount. It is a true priviledge to nuture on such a personal level, proving you can 'look good and feel great' whatever your background, age or budget. With consultations costing as little as one or two items of clothing you can't afford not to!

Unique Style is a natural, positive extension of my business. My vision is to educate people, giving them the necessary skills, focus and confidence to make wise and informed decisions. This in turn saves them both time and money and will result in a versatile, cohesive wardrobe that will both visually and internally reflect their own 'Unique Style'. By using the 100% proven 4 principal shopping system I can be a facilitator to discover your outward expression of your individuality and uniqueness, which is inherently yours.

Being a busy wife and mum to three very active boys I know first hand how precious time and money is. Being self-employed has given me the necessary flexiblity and freedom as a 'hands-on-mum'. My spare time is spent catching up with friends in local cafes, energetic and fun aerobics sessions at Body Worx Fitness Centre, watching my son's sport and indulging my innate passion for art, interior design and all things creative!  As a natural extrovet my business is people first and foremost!

I offer a full range of Beauty and Style consultations. My Style services included full Colour coding consultation, Individual Style consultatons including wardrobe sorts, shopping time or fun educational group Style Workshops.
